ReplyDeleteSafety Tips; Crossing busy roads is the most important one, but others like noticing deep drainage ditches one can fall into. Even small ones like carrying a stick and swipe it in front where you are walking. I recall walking a nature path and getting a face full of a spider web, it made me shiver to know where the spider was. So now I carry a stick and swipe when I walk one, simple solution. Hey reader do you have any safety tips you want to share?
ReplyDeleteThe two sites we could use more volunteers for are:
ReplyDeleteRiverside Park Boat Ramp, 350 Dahlia Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32963 - Has both walking areas and a nice ramp to launch out of
Round Island Boat Ramp, 2200 S. Highway A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963 - Kick'in Kayaks there & folks can get out on the water at no charge and there is a lot of walking area too
Otherwise, folks can work anywhere on their own and would need to register on our virtual / self-reporting link: 18th Annual T.C. Waterway Cleanup- Virtual Volunteer Registration Form
